The Bailie Nicol Jarvie is a Blend of Old Scotch Whisky.

Ir was during the Boar War that this finest of whiskies ‘The Malt Drinker’s Blend’ first grew to fame and has been enjoyed ever since.

Immortalised in Sir Walter Scott’s ‘ROB ROY’, Nicol Jarvie, Rob’s stout and faithful cousin, discharged himself with honour in the adventure of the Red Hot Poker. This elderly magistrate from Glasgow challenged by a wild highlander took up his sword only to find it rusted to its scabbard with disuse. Seizing a firebrand, he set his opponent’s ‘New Bonnie Plaid’ alight. No harm was done but honour was satisfied.

The Bailie Nicol Jarvie Blend

Bailie Nicol Jarvie (colloquially BNJ) was a brand of whisky which was produced by The Glenmorangie Company in Scotland. It was named after a character in Walter Scott’s novel Rob Roy.

It is a blended Scotch whisky, which has a good following in Scotland, but is relatively unknown in other parts of the world.

The label claims “The Bailie Nicol Jarvie we believe, boasts the highest malt content of any blended Scotch whisky”.

The highest bidder is at the end of the auction is due to pay full purchase price plus buyer’s premium and postage within 1 hour of the auction closing.

A buyer’s premium is applicable to all lots and will be set at 15% of purchase price.
